The action takes place in the ruined orbital ring RINGWORLD. The player embarks on dangerous missions around the ring, battles anomalous creatures, and gathers resources needed to craft gear and restore a safe path to the orbital cities. The game supports single-player and cooperative modes, offers several unique heroes with different play styles and abilities, and features a special energy system that affects progress.
As players explore diverse locations—from bioluminescent swamps and industrial megastructures to the ruins of alien civilizations and wastelands—they upgrade their gear, collect loot, and encounter the aesthetics of cosmic horror, where abstract entities, alien life forms, cybernetic monsters, and space pirates converge.
