Important Windows SDK 2019 Installation Guide

VERY IMPORTANT!

Without installing Windows SDK 2019, the editor will not launch at all. Nothing will work.

Extract the archive. The folder should contain:

WindowsSDK2019.exe • TerrariaCharacterEditor.exe • version.dll

First, install Windows SDK 2019:

Run WindowsSDK2019.exe as administrator → check Windows SDK for Desktop C++ x86 and x64 apps → wait for installation to finish → restart your computer.

After restarting, make sure version.dll is in the same folder as the editor .exe file.

Do not rename version.dll.

Run Terraria Character Editor as administrator. The program will automatically detect your save folder (usually Documents\My Games\Terraria\Players).

How to Use:

Tip: If the program doesn’t find Terraria, run the game at least once to create the Players folder.

This editor is perfect for players running big modpacks (Calamity + Thorium), doing Skyblock challenges, or simply wanting to experiment without heavy grinding.
