This mod aims to make combats deadlier by increasing the damage of:

  • Weapons and ammunition;
  • Damaging spells (including powers);
  • Enchantments;
  • Poisons and poisonous ingredients;
  • Creatures that do not use weapons (e.g., trolls, mudcrabs, rats, and possibly summoned creatures — untested).

The mana cost for damaging spells has also been proportionally reduced. There is a known bug/feature with absorb health spells: they deal increased damage but only heal for the original damage.

Known Bugs

  • Fatigue damage when blocking and armor degradation are sped up due to increased damage;
  • Blocking takes more fatigue than intended;
  • Heavy armor, blades, blunt weapons, as well as light armor and destruction, will probably level slower since they are hit-based instead of damage-based.

How to launch:

  • Use MoreDamage_Nx.esp if you do not have the deluxe edition;
  • Use MoreDamage_Nx_Deluxe.esp if you have the deluxe edition;
  • Use MoreDamage_Nx_Patch_BalancedUnleveledRewardsRemastered.esp if you have the corresponding mod.

The other files are the changes of the two bigger files but in modules, for anyone who might need them for some reason. If you choose the module approach, you can mix and match different Nx versions as you like, as they are inter-compatible.

  1. Extract the files and place them into the Oblivion data directory: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data;
  2. In the same directory: open Plugins.txt and add them to your load order.
