The main problem is that after completing the preparation tasks for an ongoing concert and moving to another location, the preparation tasks are reset and are no longer completed. These tasks are NOT REQUIRED to complete the Gig, but completing them increases your chances of successfully completing the tasks. With the current bug, your Sim's chances of getting GOLD in performance are greatly reduced. As a result, one failed task means that you will not receive gold.
