Xenoblade Chronicles is an adventure role-playing game with turn-based battles in Japanese style. The entire world of the game consists of the remains of two titans — Bionis and Mechonis. For many hundreds of years, they fought in the midst of an endless ocean, and eventually killed each other at the same moment. After some time, their bodies became a source of new life. From Bionis emerged humans and other biological species, including the main character — Shulk. He, along with his companions, is waging a protracted war against the race of Mechon — robots that originated within Mechonis.
