Grow a Garden is a gardening simulator on the Roblox platform. Like other similar games, it regularly receives new content. On July 19, the "Zen" update began. In this guide, we will tell you what items and activities will be available to you during the event.
New Shop and Temporary Qi Currency
Thanks to the Zen Channeler, ordinary fruits and berries will turn into Tranquil Plants. This mutation will occur automatically once per hour. The effect lasts for 10 minutes. Naturally, the value of the fruits varies depending on rarity and other factors.
During the update, you will be able to use a special shop. The vendor, who looks like a hybrid of a raccoon and a panda, will exchange Tranquil Plants for Qi. This is a special resource available only during the "Zen" event.
Items You Can Buy for Qi
Buying Qi is not the only way to spend Tranquil Plants. You can also invest them in growing the Zen Tree. For this, you will receive special rewards, and new items will become available in the shop:
- Zen Seed Pack — 12 Qi.
- Zen Egg — 30 Qi. To unlock, you need to give the Zen Channeler Tranquil Plants worth 40 Qi.
- Hot Spring — 30 Qi.
- Zen Sand — 30 Qi.
- Tranquil Radar — 15 Qi.
- Zenflare Seed — 30 Qi. Unlocked after receiving the first upgrade.
- Zen Crate — 15 Qi. To unlock, you need to give the Zen Channeler Tranquil Plants worth 60 Qi.
- Soft Sunshine Seed — 20 Qi. Unlocked after you give the Zen Channeler 90 Qi.
- Koi — 45 Qi. To unlock, you need to sell the Zen Channeler Tranquil Plants worth 130 Qi.
- Gnome Crate — 15 Qi. Unlocked after you give the Zen Channeler 180 Qi.
- Spiked Mango Seed — 45 Qi. To unlock, you need to give the Zen Channeler Tranquil Plants worth 245 Qi.
- Pet Shard Tranquil — 200 Qi. Unlocked when you sell the Zen Channeler Tranquil Plants worth 325 Qi.
What Plants Can Be Grown with Zen Seeds
- Monobluma. Chance to appear — 40%. Cost — 22,000 Shekels.
- Serenity. Probability — 25%. Price — 31,000 Shekels.
- Taro Flower. Chance to appear — 20%. Cost — 108,300 Shekels.
- Dzen Stone. Probability — 10%. Price — 135,375 Shekels.
- Hinomai. Chance to appear — 4.5%. Cost — 80,000 Shekels.
- Maple Apple. Probability — 0.5%. Price — 77,000 Shekels.
Note that Monobluma, Serenity, and Dzen Stone can yield a harvest only once, while Taro Flower, Hinomai, and Maple Apple can yield multiple times.
What Plants Can Be Bought in the Shop
- Zenflare. Purchased for 6 Qi. Fruit price — 22,000 Shekels.
- Soft Sunshine. Can be bought for 20 Qi. Harvest value — 40,613 Shekels.
- Spiked Mango. Purchased for 75 Qi. Fruit price — 67,500 Shekels.
What Animals Can Hatch from a Zen Egg
- Shiba Inu. Will dig up 1 seed for you every minute. Chance to appear — 40%.
- Nihonzaru. Enhances the passive abilities of your pets living in the garden. The effect works only if you have placed a Hot Spring in the garden. Hatching chance — 32%.
- Tanuki. Grants fruits random mutations (Chocolate, Chilled, Lunar), gives you Sheckles, which reduce the cooldown time of other pets' abilities, increase gained experience, and much more. Chance to appear — 20%.
- Tanchozuru. Blesses your crops with the “Tranquil” mutation even outside the “Zen” event. Hatching chance — 4.4%.
- Kappa. Gives your plants the “Wet” mutation, and sometimes transforms “Wet Fruits” into “Bloody” ones. Chance to appear — 3.5%.
- Kitsune. Causes a neighbor’s fruit to mutate using regular Chakra (12x increase) or Foxfire Chakra (90x increase), and then clones it for you. Hatching chance — 0.08%.
After patch 1.15.0, Koi appeared—a pet that allows you to get two animals from one egg with a small probability (except exotic and premium ones). You can buy this pet for 45 Qi.
New Zen Mutations
- Chakra. Can be obtained with the Kitsune pet. Increases fruit value 15 times.
- Tranquil. Occurs from the Zen Channeler's aura once per hour. Increases crop price 20 times.
- Radioactive. During the “Radioactive Carrot” event, fill the meter to the maximum and launch the rocket into the sky. After this, you will get the mutation in your garden. Increases fruit value 80 times.
- Foxfire Chakra. Kitsune can trigger it with a small chance. Increases crop price 90 times.
Mutation Sprays
Allow you to trigger a mutation without additional conditions.
- Wet. Doubles the value of fruits.
- Windstrunk. Doubles the value of fruits.
- Verdant. Triples the value of crops.
- Disco. Doubles the value of plants.
Each costs 50 million Shekels. Note that the spray vendor does not always appear. If they're not there, you'll need to wait.

- Bamboo Tech. Chance to obtain — 18.07%.

- Zen Bridge. Chance to obtain — 6.02%.
- Zen Waterfall. Chance to obtain — 3.61%.
