VRAM Usage on RTX 5090 (32 GB):
The reviewer praised the game's graphics and level design but noted some frustrations with character facial animations and cutscenes locked at 30 FPS. The PC version is also notably demanding, but scaling technologies can provide a significant FPS boost.
Hardware requirements are very high, just like other recent Unreal Engine 5 titles. In order to reach 60 FPS at 1080p, without upscaling, maximum settings, you need a RTX 4070 Ti, RTX 5070 Ti, RX 7900 XTX, RX 9070 XT or faster. Got a 1440p monitor? Then you need either a RTX 4090 or RTX 5090. At 4K, not even the RTX 5090 can achieve over 60 FPS. What makes a huge difference is lowering the details from "Badass" to "High" or "Medium," pairing that with upscaling and frame generation improves things a lot.
In related news, an interactive map of the open world of Borderlands 4 recently surfaced. Before that, the game was tested on GTX 970, GT 1030, GTX 1050 Ti, GTX 1650, GTX 1660, RTX 3050 and RTX 4060.
