NVIDIA Showed Off AI-Powered Robots at Computex

At Computex 2026, NVIDIA brought not only powerful server hardware and a new processor for gaming laptops but also a whole lineup of "living" robots. This year, the company focused less on abstract cloud AI and more on tech that can already move boxes around and run production lines all on its own.

The main idea behind NVIDIA’s exhibit this year is bringing so‑called "Physical AI" into industry. They showed off several robot prototypes built for real work in warehouses and factories. What really grabbed visitors’ attention were the robotic arms and small autonomous carts. Unlike many demo booths that just show a robot dancing, these were performing routine but absolutely critical tasks: picking up cargo, moving pallets, and navigating tight spaces.

Right in the middle of the show, journalists got a chance to talk with NVIDIA representatives. Speaking exclusively to VGTimes, a company rep summed up what’s going on and, more importantly, the real‑world value of these new products.

These systems run on updated versions of the Jetson Thor platform. They’re basically the same kind of processors you’d find in gaming GPUs, but designed to work "on the ground" — right on the robot arm itself. A major software update also landed: the new JetPack 7.2 makes the platform ready for agentic AI. That means the robot doesn’t just follow a rigid script — it makes decisions on the fly, like rerouting if a passage is blocked or grabbing a load with the other arm if the first grip isn’t secure.

There are plenty of exhibits at Computex this year where AI is "embedded" into the environment. But NVIDIA’s position right now looks stronger: they’re offering not just a standalone humanoid robot but a complete computing foundation that any manufacturer can use to build their own factory worker. With accessible components and open reference designs, the barrier for startups to enter industrial robotics could drop significantly.
