A military action and strategy game about air, sea, and undersea battles in the Pacific theater of World War II. Its campaigns span the events from Pearl Harbor through the Philippines, Java, and the Coral Sea to the Battle of Midway.

Players command a fleet and switch in real time between aircraft, warships, and submarines, taking on roles such as pilot, gunner, submarine captain, or aircraft carrier commander. The single-player mode includes 11 campaigns and 12 additional challenges, while multiplayer battles let players fight one another or team up against computer-controlled opponents.
