Quake Game Series
Quake - a well-known series of shooters, the first part of which was released back in 1996. Despite the fact that almost all "Quakes" are focused on multiplayer, initially it was a completely ordinary single-player shooter. After some time, the first mods appeared, thanks to which, for example, the first part of Team Fortress was created. However, a proper storyline was only present in the second and fourth Quake.
The first real rough hint at multiplayer was in Quake 3 Arena. You can play this part solo, but there is not much point in it due to the lack of any storyline. Currently, the popular multiplayer shooter in the series is Quake Champions.
