Gothic 1 Remake's lockpicking is already one of the loudest early pain points. Some players want to skip it entirely, but many comments ask for something more balanced: keep the mini-game, just make it less punishing and less overloaded with plate/gate dependencies.

What it does:

  • Scans reflected UE objects for lockpicking-related runtime values.
  • Reduces numeric connection/dependency counts where writable fields are found.
  • Scales down complexity/difficulty-like values.
  • Caps sequence/step-like values by profile.
  • Includes balanced, gentle, and very_easy profiles.
  • Includes a DryRun mode for logging candidate changes before applying them.
  • Keeps the lockpicking mini-game instead of unlocking everything instantly.

Why this is different from nearby mods:

  • It is not an unlock-all mod.
  • It is not an external solver.
  • It is not only a "more attempts before break" tweak.
  • It targets the actual request for fewer dependencies and a fairer puzzle.

Profiles:

  • balanced — modest reduction, recommended first.
  • gentle — stronger simplification.
  • very_easy — heavy assist, optional break protection.
