By default, Gothic 1 Remake runs a supply/demand economy: the more of an item that is in circulation, the less it is worth. Every time you sell something, the trader's — and the whole region's — stock of that item grows, and its value drops. So the second sword is worth less than the first, and the tenth is worth almost nothing. The same mechanic shifts prices when you buy, too.

Classic Traders restores the way trading felt in the original Gothic: every item has a fixed value, and that value never changes no matter how much you buy or sell. Sell a hundred swords and the last one is worth exactly as much as the first. This affects both selling and buying, as both prices come from the same per-item value, keeping them stabilised.

Features:

  • Item prices stay constant regardless of how much you buy or sell.
  • Removes both supply/demand price terms the game applies (a global "liquidity" term and a per-region term).
  • Works on existing saves and mid-playthrough — no new game required.
  • Purely a runtime tweak: nothing is written into your save, so it is safe to add or remove at any time.
  • Fully configurable — keep pure base values (default), lock in the full "first-unit" price, or set your own.
  • Lightweight Lua mod: no .pak files, no replaced assets.

Installation instructions:

  1. Make sure UE4SS (experimental-latest) is installed in your game folder first.
  2. Download the archive and extract it.
  3. Copy the G1R_ClassicTraders folder into your UE4SS mods folder:
    ...\Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\
  4. The result should look like this:
    ...\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\G1R_ClassicTraders\Scripts\main.lua
  5. Open mods.json in that same Mods folder in a text editor and add this entry to the list (watch the commas between entries):
    {
    "mod_name": "G1R_ClassicTraders",
    "mod_enabled": true
    }
  6. Launch the game. That is it — the mod loads automatically.
