This mod adjusts the camera position in Resident Evil Requiem by increasing the distance between the camera and the character in the over-the-shoulder view. It improves visibility and comfort without altering the Field of View (FOV) or distorting the image. Collision detection continues to function properly, preventing the camera from clipping through walls. The modification only affects normal movement — when aiming or during cutscenes, the camera automatically returns to the default settings.
Features:
- Camera distance multiplier from 1x to 3x (3x by default);
- Active only during walking, running, or crouching;
- Full wall collision support at extended distances;
- Real-time configuration through the in-game menu.
Requirements:
- REFramework – mod unlocking and extended functionality.
Installation:
- Install REFramework and ensure dinput8.dll is present in the game directory;
- Download the archive and extract the reframework folder into the game root directory (where the .exe file is located);
- Verify the file path: .../Resident Evil Requiem/reframework/autorun/proper_3rd_person_camera.lua;
- Launch the game and press Insert to open the control menu;
- Navigate to Script Generated UI → Proper 3rd Person Camera;
- Adjust the Distance Multiplier slider and ensure Enabled is checked.
