Resident Evil Requiem

This is probably the series' ceiling; I don't think it'll get any better. It's a perfect blend of the gameplay from 7 and 8 with the action from 4. The series used to be criticized for this, but now it's just style. Definitely worth playing.

RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM is worth every dollar. Even if it were $100, it would be worth it. Capcom is one of fewer than five studios that has maintained the bar for game quality from its inception in the distant 1990s to this day. This is a truly great action-horror drama, the culmination of the story, the closure of Leon's emotional arc, and apparently the announcement of a sequel. At least, based on what I read in Grace Eckshforth's 60-page report and what we saw in the final cinematic, this story doesn't end. Will Leon be in it? It's highly likely. It's quite an interesting game. I was especially impressed by the voice acting and the ability to switch from third-person to first-person perspective. The cinematic storyline also played a significant role, along with the sound and music. The music at the end is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend it. If you have an RX 580, the game will run smoothly on your rig.

Capcom has delivered a MASTERPIECE again. Fortunately, Ethan is no longer in it. Remasters 7 and 8 were interesting, but Leon's story felt unfinished. And now we're getting a new, incredibly cool remaster. Part 9 combines horror (as Grace) and action (as Leon). The plot is also top-notch. When Zeno appears, you think, "Wesker?!", and when Victor tells Leon that he knows him, you're stunned, wondering when and in what part he appeared. There aren't any particular downsides, just minor nitpicks, but they're not critical. If you're thinking, "I didn't like 7 and 8, I don't know about 9, should I play it or not?" then my answer is this: RE 9 is nothing like 7 and 8. Don't hesitate and enjoy the game. Have a nice game!

Capcom's painstaking efforts have given us this grand masterpiece, which, under the guise of a franchise revolution, offers the laziest and most stuffy collection of fan service on the bones of our memories.
