Obsidian's cultists still swear by their pathetic, buggy, and utterly dead New Vegas, but their new creation clearly proves that the studio never knew how to make decent games. It's a refined distillation of their signature creative impotence, only now wrapped in the plastic Unreal Engine 5. The RPG system here is made for masochists: with a paltry 30-level cap, you're given a pittance of upgrade points, forcing you to build a narrow-minded invalid who can't even break down a door, while your dimwitted teammates mindlessly die in the first seconds of any battle because they can't even change their equipment. The plot is simply a disgrace, where instead of a proper story, you're smothered by megabytes of abstruse text from every homeless person you meet, speaking like a liberal arts college… Read full
