Episode 2

Jessie will add you to a group chat with other friends. Cleo will insult Jessie, but you can defend her:

  • Enough of this! (Jessie will say she needed your support);
  • Cleo, keep your thoughts to yourself (Jessie will be pleased that you supported her);
  • I think I agree with Cleo (Jessie will trust you less);
  • (Say nothing).

After this dialog, Jessie will message you privately. You can support her or, conversely, distance yourself from her.

Jessie will ask you to inform Thomas about the terrible news. Go to the messages with Thomas and choose how to break the news to him:

  • The police found a body;
  • Though, you know, it's not that important (End of dialog).

Choose the first option to continue the dialog:

  • The victim is a woman;
  • It's probably Hannah;
  • I'm so sorry;
  • That's all we know so far (This seems to be the most gentle choice).

Return to the group chat with your new friends and talk about Thomas's reaction. Dan will call his reaction very suspicious and ask you to share your opinion on this:

  • I don't think I was the one who should have told him about it;
  • I find it suspicious too (You supported Dan, he will remember this);
  • I don't find his behavior suspicious at all (You did not support Dan).

Friends will go offline one by one, and you will have to play mini-games in the Cloud section again. As in the previous season, finish all the mini-games at once so you don't have to come back to them until the end of the season.

A hacker will contact you with belated news about a found woman's corpse. Talk to him, explain to the hacker who told you about the corpse of the woman (you can lie to him, but it's pointless since he already knows the truth). To learn more about the hacker's identity, ask him Tell me about yourself.

When you open new story dialogues, return to the chat and greet the missing Hanna's sister. Later, Cleo will send you a message in a private chat.

  • Is there something bothering you?
  • Yes. I think Jessie is being somewhat naive (Lily agrees with you but didn't expect you to say it);
  • We were just chatting about nothing, really.

Cleo will suggest you learn more about Hanna. Ask one of the questions you're interested in:

  • Does Hanna have any brothers or sisters? (Just a younger sister named Lily);
  • Important choice: Is there a chance that Hanna just ran away? (Unlikely, because she had a great family and her life was just starting to get better);
  • Did Hanna have any enemies? (No, everyone adored this girl).

Lily will remind you about the hacker who informed the friends about the girl's disappearance:

  • Right, I remember (End of dialogue);
  • Maybe he's lying (By choosing this option, you can argue your thoughts).

Change the subject and ask Cleo about the hacking attempt that Jessie told you about:

  • Important choice: Do you want to tell me about your hacking attempt? (You will learn about Cleo's evening walk and about a conversation between two strangers at Richie's dump);
  • That's all for now.

Choosing the option Do you want to tell me about your hacking attempt? in one of several responses, you can advise Cleo to tell everything to Richie:

  • (Say nothing);
  • Important choice: You should tell Richie about it yourself (Jessie will be happy with your action, as Cleo will tell everything to her boss herself).

Cleo will say that she's going to take matters into her own hands because she simply can't stand by any longer:

  • Are you going to the police? (No);
  • What are you planning? (Cleo will ask around town, maybe someone saw Hanna before she disappeared);
  • Planning to find Thomas? (Good idea, but no).

In Duskwood, there are only three main rumor spreaders. Cleo suggests choosing who she should visit first:

  • The motel owner surely knows something (Cleo will go to Miss Walter);
  • I think you should start with the main gossip (Cleo will go to Mrs. Sally);
  • It's up to you where to start.

Another file will be restored, and you'll be able to send it to the hacker. Read the conversation between Richie and Jessie, then return to the dialogue with the hacker. The stranger will start making assumptions about what exactly Richie intended to tell Jessie about you:

  • Jessie will probably tell me (Possibly);
  • Because of the mysterious message that says I'm now part of the group? (Unlikely);
  • Trust no one — those are your words, after all.

Ask the hacker why he trusts you and conclude the conversation. At that moment, Cleo will contact you.

If you suggested Cleo visit the hotel owner, she won't find Miss Walter at the reception desk:

  • What do you think to do now? (Ask Miss Walter's son, who is playing near the hotel);
  • Maybe there's a bell? (Cleo already tried calling);
  • You should have called before going there.

If you suggested Cleo visit the gossip, she will manage to talk to Mrs. Sally:

  • Will you tell me over the phone? (Exclusive choice);
  • What did she say?

Mrs. Sally saw Hanna right before she disappeared. Hanna ran out of the pharmacy and looked very agitated.

  • What was she buying at the pharmacy? (Cleo has no idea);
  • If even you, her best friend, don't know about it, then who? (Thomas probably knows something about it);
  • How do we find out?

Cleo will talk to the boy. He will say that he saw a man without a face dragging Hanna into the woods. The boy wouldn't just make up such a terrible situation. Alfie called him the man without a face.

  • He probably saw the suspect wearing a mask (That's quite possible);
  • Maybe he's somehow disfigured?
  • And who could that be?
  • Maybe it's a horror movie character? (It's one of the many dark legends of Duskwood).

Conclude the conversation and talk to Jess. Ask her about the local legend of the man without a face.

  • Have you heard about the man without a face?
  • Cleo and I are working on a lead (Jess will not be pleased with this turn of events).

Tell Jessie about the story with Alfie and continue to inquire, not mentioning Cleo. Jessie will explain that the boy is mentally challenged, so he could make up anything. She will add Richie to the group chat and start telling the legend of the man without a face.

After that, you'll decrypt another file and send it to the hacker. Cleo will contact you and ask you to listen to her:

  • Go ahead (Cleo will tell you the story about the boy Alfie);
  • I have no interest in listening to stories (You will refuse to listen to the story).

Returning to the conversation with Jessie. The girl will ask if you are talking to the hacker:

  • Aren't you supposed to be at work? (You won't be able to dodge the question, as Jessie will ask again);
  • Yes;
  • Where did you get that idea?
  • Sometimes, so what?

You will start discussing the hacker. Jessie will admit that she recently discussed you with other group members as well:

  • I'm aware (You'll reveal to Jessie that you read her personal correspondence. Not a very good idea);
  • If I were in your place, I would also have doubts about me;
  • I will still prove that I am a part of the group.

Jessie will ask not to tell the hacker much about what friends talk about:

  • Do you think he could be someone from the group? (Continuation of the dialogue);
  • (Say nothing) (End of the dialogue).

If you chose the first option, Jessie will reply that Richie thinks so:

  • I don't think he is someone from the group;
  • Either way, it doesn't matter (End of the dialogue);
  • I don't want to answer that question (End of the dialogue);
  • I think he is someone from the group.

After, you can choose an exclusive dialogue option to get to know Jessie better (Want to just chat?). In this case, you will learn about her brother Phil.

Soon, you will be able to read Dan and Thomas's private chat, then the hacker will write and ask what they were talking about. During the conversation with the hacker, you will see another interesting correspondence between Dan and Puck. The former set up a meeting and clarified the price for something. Answer the hacker:

  • This stranger is being paid to cover up tracks;
  • Thomas is hiding at this stranger's place;
  • It seems Dan is buying something from this stranger (Correct);
  • I don't know.

Continuation of the conversation:

  • So Thomas could leave town;
  • Because Thomas and Dan kidnapped Hanna;
  • That's all that comes to mind;
  • And he asked for 350 dollars for it (Correct).

The hacker will find out Puck's number and ask you to talk to him. But before that, he will send you a part of the file you recovered. The image will capture a prescription for a strange drug. Tell the hacker you will find out its name and share it with him:

  • It's just a painkiller;
  • It's a contraceptive;
  • It's an antidepressant (Correct);
  • It's for insomnia.

The hacker will be strangely surprised by this and say that Hanna did not suffer from such disorders. Decrypt another file and send it to the hacker. Switch to the dialogue with Cleo. She will arrive at Hanna's house and call you via video link. Suddenly, the connection will break, and you will see someone entering the house following Cleo.
