Duskwood Walkthrough (Episodes 1-10): All Answers and Endings
Episode 7
Your idea with the hashtag #IAmJake worked. Talk to Lily and decide whether to tell your friends that hacker Jake is Lily and Hanna's stepbrother. Lily will suggest keeping this information a secret, which makes total sense:
- What if we just tell them everything?
- Probably, that's indeed better (Optimal choice);
- It's up to you, Lily.
Go to the group chat with friends and tell them what you think is necessary. We recommend hiding the fact about the hacker's relationship with Lily from them. When asked How is Lily involved in this you should answer:
- Unfortunately, that's exactly what we cannot tell (Correct);
- Can you just listen?
- I asked her to help (Correct).
Then, just chat with friends, and when the dialogue ends, open the cloud and complete three mini-games. It's advisable to finish 15 mini-games right away so you won't be distracted by them later in the game.
After that, Lily will message you again. When you try to open the chat, your phone will be attacked. Don't worry, to fend off the attack, just press Protect or do nothing at all. After the timer ends, NYM-OS will protect your phone by itself. Similar attacks will recur from time to time.
Lily will ask if you think it could be Jake. But since your phone was protected by the NYM-OS program, which was developed by Jake, it's just not possible:
- Do you think he was trying to contact me?;
- No, it's definitely not Jake (Correct).
Continuation of the chain:
- It's NYM-OS that informed me about the attack (Correct);
- He protected me.
Lily will also ask if you've discussed the hacker's activities with anyone. If you've told Jessie everything you know about Jake, it's better to tell the truth now. But it's best if you haven't discussed Jake with the girl:
- A bit, but I didn't say anything important;
- No, of course (Choose if you didn't tell Jessie about the hacker);
- Only with those I trust (Choose if you told Jessie about the hacker);
- If I did talk, it wasn't over the phone.
Further answers in the dialogue with Lily do not affect the game's plot. Use spy mode to read Jessie and Phil's correspondence, then return to the group chat.
If you have the multimedia package connected, you can now watch a video clip with news about a dead girl recently found in the forest. Her name is Amy Bell Lewis.
- Ah, so the police are starting to disclose information (Correct);
- I had already forgotten about that corpse;
- Poor Amy.
Continuation of the chain:
- I think… (Correct);
- Most likely, nothing;
- Don't know.
Continuation of the chain:
- Soon we'll find out everything;
- The police hope that the publicity will somehow help;
- The police investigation has hit a dead end;
- The police are trying to pressure the killer (Correct).
Friends will start discussing the deceased girl, and Cleo will note that there must be some connection between Hannah and Amy. But Thomas is categorically against accepting this:
- What makes you think that?
- Or maybe we just don't know about it (Correct);
- Do you think Amy's death is just a coincidence?
Next, we recommend asking several questions about Amy to understand how the deceased girl might be connected to Hannah. You can ask questions in any order. Later, Cleo will say that she noticed something in the video report and will send you a photo.
If you look closely, you can see a plaque on the stone to the left.
Later, when Jake appears, he will send you a more detailed version of the photo, on which you will be able to read the name.
Shortly after, Cleo will message you again and bring up Amy. The girl will say that something definitely happened to Amy because she stopped attending classes a long time ago:
- Maybe she just got tired of the courses?
- Maybe she got a boyfriend?
- We can try to grasp at this straw (Correct);
- What if she stopped coming because she was already dead?
Continuation of the chain:
- Amy looks a lot like Hannah (The girls have a similar build and height, and they are of the same age);
- Thomas told me something (You will tell that Hannah was acting strangely right before disappearing);
- This whole story with Amy is really troubling me (Say that no one noticed how the girl disappeared).
After talking to Cleo, go to the group chat. Jessie will tell you that her brother Phil was arrested by the police.
- Me too;
- I'm sure it's because of Amy (Correct);
- I think it's because of Hannah;
- Probably, he's somehow involved in both crimes.
Richie will ask you to tell about what you discussed with Phil in the last conversation. Choose truthful options:
- Phil was quite cooperative.
- I found this strange.
- Something about his behavior bothered me.
- He immediately understood that I wanted to talk about Hannah.
- Eventually, he invited me to Aurora.
- Overall, he didn't seem suspicious to me.
Later, Jessie will message you. She'll apologize for going offline without saying goodbye.
- Have you already read our discussion in the group chat? (Not yet);
- Did you manage to find out why Phil was arrested? (The girl didn't manage to find out why Phil was arrested);
- Phil called me right before the arrest (Say that you didn't manage to pick up the phone).
After that, ask Jessie about the attack. The chosen options will not affect the storyline. At the end of the conversation, try not to tell any information about Jake, and it's best to change the subject:
- Can we please change the subject? (Correct);
- I want to be honest with you... (Choosing this option, answer that someone is trying to hack your phone, so you don't want to tell the girl anything).
Jessie will go offline. If you've completed all the mini-games, the dialogue will continue. She'll tell you that she tracked Hannah's address in the navigator and made it to the right place. At that moment, your phone will be attacked again, but this time the attack can't be fended off.
Jake appears and fends off the hackers' attack. Ask the guy where he's been all this time, and also share the latest news (the choice of answers will not affect the plot).
Talk to Lily, then go to the group chat and tell them that Jake has returned. Right after that, Jessie will message you. She'll say that the only address in Hannah's navigator was to Jennifer's parents' house, a girl who died many years ago:
- Seriously?
- Did you manage to talk to her?
- Iris? (Jessie will ask how you know her name).
Medical professionals claim that Jennifer died not at the hands of a murderer, but due to numerous mechanical injuries that could have appeared after an accident. As if she was run over by a car. Only after that, someone buried the girl's body in the forest to hide their crime. At that time, the police were able to identify the car that Jennifer was presumably hit by — an AMC Gremlin. Jessie will try to find out more about this car, and you return to the group chat.
Later, Jessie will return from the police station and tell you that they know almost everything you've been doing this time. Cleo and Jessie start to argue. The latter will accuse Cleo of trying to sneak into her brother's bar's basement and frame him:
- (Say nothing);
- And because a matchbox from Aurora was found near the body (Correct).
Continuation of the chain:
- Because I didn't think Phil kidnapped Hanna;
- You were just attacked then;
- We were afraid you wouldn't be objective (Correct);
- Why me?
Jessie will go offline, and you'll be able to read her conversation with Richie in spy mode.
Right after that, Richie will contact Dan and inform him that the car's brake system is fine.
Move to private messages with Jake:
- I need to find out who testified against Phil (Correct);
- Well, the arrest itself is quite convincing evidence.
Jake will ask who might benefit from hiding information about Phil from all the other group members:
- The one who thinks it will help him get to Hanna;
- No one, really;
- The one who is actually the criminal (Correct).
On the day of her disappearance, Hanna called someone named Alan. If you've been paying close attention to your friends, you already know that Alan is the police chief:
- Just don't ask me who it is;
- And now I know who it is (Correct).
Jake will suggest you check the lead with the bracelet Hanna purchased at the pawn shop:
- It means Jessie lied;
- We can find out who originally pawned the bracelet (Correct);
- But didn't come up with anything;
- (Say nothing).
Usually, if a person pawns something, it's assumed they'll come back for it:
- It turns out this person was emotionally attached to the bracelet;
- So, the one who pawned the bracelet was having money troubles;
- Maybe they just couldn't sell it to anyone else?
- Then the bracelet wasn't pawned by the one who killed Jennifer (Correct).
Jessie will write to you again. She'll send a photo of a crow painted on her door. Jake will ask you to inquire with the girl about where she was before she noticed the sign on her door.
- Well, the sign is painted on your front door (Correct);
- What about my question confused you?
Jessie will say she just wanted to take a walk:
- Take a walk?
- Oh, alright;
- Then how did you notice it? (Correct).
In the group chat, the girl will mention that she wants to leave Duskwood as soon as possible. Later, Richie will suggest renting a country house. In the story, you can try to persuade your friends to stay in town, but it will lead nowhere.
At the same time, Lily will send you a photo of a document from Hanna's mailbox. This document is an application form for visiting a prisoner in the local jail.
Go back to the group chat and discuss moving to a country house with your friends. Before ending the conversation, you can ask:
- Wait, first I need your help;
- Hold on, can I ask you something first?
Choose the following options:
- Hanna had a bracelet from the pawnshop.
- I want to find out who pawned it.
- Cleo, I'm sure you can sweet-talk the pawnshop owner.
Later, Dan will write to you saying he wants to help:
- Trying to trick me?
- Did they take away your TV?
- Why did you suddenly decide you can help me? (Correct).
Continue the chain:
- I have nothing against it (Correct);
- On one condition;
- Sorry Dan, I can't talk right now.
Send Dan the video you found in Hanna's cloud storage. This video captures a room where an unknown person is knocking on the window.
Lily will send you the document again, but in better quality. You will be able to see the initials of the prisoner Hanna wanted to see.
Richie will contact you. Ask him a few questions and keep the conversation going until he suggests a call (the answer choices do not affect the plot). Suddenly, Richie hears a woman's voice in the forest, not far from his workshop. Later, an unknown person will attack him, and the episode will end.
