How to Increase Stamina and Reduce Its Consumption in Genshin Impact
For comfortable travel in the world of Genshin Impact, players can use fast travel points. However, teleport points are located at quite a distance from each other, and gamers often need to gather resources in the open world to level up heroes or weapons. In this guide, we will explain how to increase stamina, how to climb high mountains, travel through Sumeru, and which heroes can be used for exploring the game's open world.
How to Increase Stamina in Genshin Impact
Stamina is a very important stat in Genshin Impact. It is not only needed for long runs but also useful during battles, as charged attacks consume stamina points.
Base and Maximum Stamina
At the start, your hero's stamina stat is 100 units. As you level up the statues of Anemo and Geo Archons, you can increase the value to 240 units (70 units for every 10 levels of each statue).
How to Level Up the Statues of the Seven Archons
As you progress through the story quests in Genshin Impact, you will learn about the Statues of the Seven Archons. They need to be activated to unlock previously unexplored areas. Each region is tied to its own Archon. Currently, there are four types of statues:
- Anemo Archon Statues — located in the vicinity of Mondstadt.
- Geo Archon Statues — can be found near the city of Liyue.
- Electro Archon Statues — unlocked in Inazuma.
- Dendro Archon Statues — you will discover them after unlocking Sumeru.
In addition, you can collect special items and make offerings to the statues to level them up. It is worth noting that you can only increase stamina in Mondstadt and Liyue:
- Anemoculi — for Anemo Archon Statues;
- Geoculi — for Geo Archon Statues.
With each new level, the total stamina of the main character will be increased by a certain value. For example, currently, on our account, the Geo Archon Statue is leveled up to level 7. For the next level-up, we will increase the stamina value by 8 units.
Therefore, while exploring new regions, we recommend gathering the above-mentioned resources and leveling up the statues.

You can also use certain characters to reduce stamina consumption. We have detailed them below.
How to Climb High Mountains and Cliffs
While exploring the open world of Gens
Here are some tips:
- Fully restore stamina before you start climbing a cliff.
- Use one of the dishes that will reduce stamina consumption while climbing. For example, Zhong Yuan Tripe or Rice Omelette are great options.
- We recommend stocking up on dishes to restore stamina. Rice Pudding will do the job perfectly. Moreover, it requires basic ingredients that are easy to obtain.
- If you are really planning to climb a tall hill, do not use the jump action while climbing. This action consumes a lot of stamina points.
How to Travel in Sumeru
While exploring Sumeru, you can use not only the standard tips we described above but also additional tricks. Since the region turned out to be really large (rumor has it that the developers are planning to expand the location even further), you can use special objects to travel around Sumeru.
Four-Leaf Sigils. These are small yellow spheres scattered throughout the region. To use them, get closer and press the corresponding button (T key on PC). In some regions, you will find buds. If you attack them with the Dendro element, several similar sigils will appear nearby.
Flowers that restore stamina. Unexpectedly, nameless flowers have appeared in Sumeru, interacting with which the hero can restore some of the spent stamina. They mainly grow on cliffs and in caves. With their help, you can easily climb any height.
Which Heroes to Use for Traveling
Some characters in the game have passive talents that reduce stamina consumption during various actions. Below we describe such heroes.
