007 First Light follows James Bond's first assignments in MI6, from training and stealth operations to chases, shootouts, investigations, and dangerous encounters with different enemies. In this walkthrough, we will go through every mission in order, explain puzzle solutions, point out important items, and show how to defeat every boss.
Prologue: Against All Odds
In the prologue of 007 First Light, players learn the basic controls, stealth, QTE scenes, and the first collectible items. The main goal of the chapter is to escape the attack zone, find the antidote, rescue the hostages in containers B4 and G9, and then reach MI6.
After the opening cutscene, you need to save Bond by pressing W three times. Once you gain control of the soldier, move forward and pass the helicopter wreckage. Keep going straight and, when prompted, take out the radio by pressing F.
Ahead, you will see the body of a comrade. Move toward it, then dash toward cover with C. Wait until the terrorists turn their backs to you and open the path forward. Run past them into the crevice, then squeeze between the two rocks.
Terrorists will now patrol the whole area. Crouch in the trench and carefully get past all enemies while avoiding their line of sight. You are fully hidden in tall grass, so use the terrain around you. Press F in time to turn off the radio, then climb onto the ledge on the right.
Watch the cutscene, then climb up. Walk along the edge of the cliff and get over the raised section. From this point on, sprinting with Shift becomes available. Run straight ahead, then enter the small cave on the left. Carefully move along the cliffside and exit into the rocky hollow.
Stay on the left side and climb onto the platform at the end of the room. Turn left and climb up twice. Pass through the narrow cave and look out at the camp in the distance. Turn right and slide down the ravine. Go straight, jump over a couple of gaps, and climb onto the upper platform. Grab the ledge and move left until the hero drops to the ground.
Run to the nearest cover ahead and find two terrorists discussing the armed bomb. Wait until the men leave, then run behind the rocks in a straight line toward the bright opening of the tent.
Once inside the green tent, Bond will pick up his first piece of outerwear and scare off one of the terrorists. When you regain control, approach the briefcase near the bed and inspect it. Turn your head back and go to the bathroom. Examine the man's body, then pick up the weapon from the crate near the exit.
After going outside, enter the open van to the left of the two men. Inside, you will find many different weapons that you need to interact with. Inspect the following items:
- Lighter on the right table;
- Communication device ahead;
- Sports bag on the bunk to the left;
- Note on the crate;
- Launcher on the table in the far-left corner.
After inspecting everything, exit through the door on the right. A vehicle will roll toward the men, and you need to push it back using the terminal. Approach the device marked with a green dot and press the interaction button. Then inspect the cabinet on the right and pick up the collectible 7 of Acorns.
Follow the green marker and drop into the trench. After walking a few meters, climb onto the ledge and enter the tent door marked Authorized personnel only. Head toward the yellow tunnel, turn right in the next hall, and move counterclockwise until you see a narrow passage behind a screen.
The assistant on the radio will ask Bond to examine the onboard computer of the broken device, but it turns out the computer is missing. To find it, climb the slope to the right of the ruined station and inspect every available interactive crate along the way. Bond will not find the item inside them, but at the end he will overhear a conversation between two chemists.
Where to Find the Antidote
At the end of the dialogue, go through the red door with the cross symbol and enter the medical bay. You now need to act quickly. If you fail to find the antidote in time, Bond will die and the mission will restart. The medicine you need is in the green crate with a bright orange stripe in the room behind the glass.
After opening it, a QTE will begin. Press the interaction button, F on keyboard, and inject both syringes. After the cutscene ends, the hero returns outside and begins the operation to rescue the company workers. Leave cover and climb onto the ledge on the left. Jump across the gap and pass between the two rocks. Jump back to the other side of the ledge and watch the cutscene.
How to Rescue the Hostages in Containers B4 and G9
To rescue the hostages, you need to search two distant containers, B4 and G9. Let us start with the latter. To reach it, drop down and hide in the tall grass. Climb onto the ledge on the left and complete a series of simple jumps across the cliffs. At the end, climb onto the green container roof and neutralize the enemy by dropping onto him from above.
Search the terrorist's body and take the storage key. After that, immediately turn right and pick up the collectible Satellite Part. Open the door with the key you just obtained and free the hostages.
After a short cutscene, leave the room, then open the door on the left leading outside. Lure the enemy toward you and start a fight. During combat, QTE prompts will sometimes appear, letting you knock the enemy out. Stay alert. Approach the lone enemy from behind and send him to his partner with a quick takedown.
Move between the containers behind him and hide in the tall grass. Go right, run past the men, and drop into the crevice. First go straight, then squeeze between the rocks and climb up to the grass in front of the container. Use the boxes on the left to climb onto the roof, find the ladder in the far-left corner, and get inside through the window.
Neutralize the terrorist and free the hostages. Talk to the people, take the detonator from the table, and climb the ladder to the roof of the building. Approach the cable, open the top cover, and loosen the tension. The pole will fall, allowing all allies to escape unnoticed.
Run straight ahead, climb into the burning tent window, and exit the room from the other side. A cutscene with several QTE prompts will begin. Stay focused. The button sequence is: Q, then E several times, then LMB.
How to Complete the Final Chase in the Prologue
At the end, you need to run straight toward the burning green marker. First go forward, and when the car blocks your path, turn right. When you encounter the motorcyclist, quickly press LMB, then hide behind the broken vehicle and spam the left mouse button again. Watch the final cutscene.
After returning to the normal city, take the keycard and follow the handler into the elevator. Once upstairs, keep following the assistant and enter the waiting room. Sit on the chair and start the dialogue with answer choices. They do not affect anything, so choose any two of the three available options, then enter M's office. Agree to work as an MI6 special agent and fly to Malta.
Chapter 1: The Needle's Eye
In the first chapter, Bond completes a series of training exercises in Malta, learns car controls, shooting, hand-to-hand combat, Q's gadgets, and watch-based hacking. You can also find a collectible here, complete several flag challenges, and finish the chapter with a boat chase.
After arriving at the training area in the instructor's car, the chief asks Bond to demonstrate his close-combat skills in a duel with Monroe. No matter how hard you try to resist the blond man, you will fail anyway. Watch the dormitory scene and move on to the next training exercise.
How to Complete the First Training Exercises in Malta
Once you regain control of Bond, follow Monroe to the coast and get into the car. The controls are simple enough: W to accelerate, A and D to turn left and right, and Space for the handbrake. Drive through the simple route while avoiding collisions with obstacles.
The second challenge teaches climbing walls and ledges. Jump across the pit, climb onto the ledge, and jump again to grab the red flag. Immediately after that, the shooting stage begins. Hit the three targets ahead. In the next hand-to-hand fight, the game teaches you to dodge red attacks with Space and parry yellow attacks with Q. At the end, press Space in time to do push-ups.
Another round of training includes another flag search. Run forward and stick to the right wall to grab the red cloth as quickly as possible. In another fight, press Shift + LMB to dash toward the opponent. Then shoot the targets, complete another driving lap, and do 99 push-ups.
In the final set of challenges, you will receive a pistol and be asked to clear the path ahead. Destroy the target in the wall, climb inside, and stun the armed enemy. Take his weapon and break another target. After that, fight three opponents in hand-to-hand combat and learn how to perform grabs. On the obstacle course, cross two gaps, pick up the pistol from the rock, and shoot the target ahead. Break down the door, shoot the first enemy in the knees, then shoot the second enemy in the hands. At the end, throw the empty pistol and stun the opponents. Jump onto the ledge and grab the red flag, finishing the super-agent training.
In the final fight with Monroe, you will need to use all the close-combat skills you have learned: parries, dodges, and grabs. Do not forget to press QTE prompts in time. In most cases, the button is Q. At the end, watch the cutscene and return to MI6 headquarters.
How to Find Q and Get the Watch
Talk to M and follow her into the underground part of the facility. Inspect the quantum computer, then return to the elevator with Moneypenny. Go down to the laboratory, talk to the scientist on the right, and first ask about Q's identity, then about his location. Follow the green marker to the center of the hall and interact with the scientist by the left pillar. Then approach the white-haired man at the table.
After the cutscene, you will be offered a choice of five different watches. They differ only in appearance, so pick the one you like and press Select Watch. After calibration, activate the lenses with Alt and hack the two desk lamps using the third ability. Then the game will let you hack any available objects in the laboratory. Use this opportunity.
Where to Find the Family Photo Collectible
Pick up the batteries in the left corner of the table, talk to the doctor, and return to Moneypenny, grabbing another pack of batteries from the tables along the way. Talk to your partner and take the elevator up to your new living quarters. Approach Monroe at the end of the corridor and collect the Family Photo collectible from the nightstand on the right.
Return to the corridor and enter Cress's room on the right. Talk to your roommate, then pick up the room key from her nearby desk. Go back into the corridor and open the door opposite, then place the bag on the bed.
Additional interactive items and activities are now available in the house. Go to the main hall to catch Cressida and Monroe talking about the watch abilities. Inspect the board games on the nightstand and Cress's laptop. Enter the TV room and examine the documents on the white countertop to the left, the writing on the board in the right corner, and the stack of books near the door. Finally, approach Monroe and take part in the card memory game.
After finishing your inspection, go to the kitchen and talk to the girl, checking the documents on the table along the way. During the argument about the picture on the wall, choose whichever option you prefer. The dialogue will not affect the story. Interact with Cress again and leave for the assignment.
How to Complete Daytime Capture the Flag
Once you are in Malta, go to the challenge gate and descend into the underground area. To start the training exercise, use the watch to hack the gate lock and hide in the tall grass. Then go left and jump over the yellow box with the arrow. Interact with the brick and throw it at the man. While he is knocked out, run to the left window and hide in the grass.
After receiving a license to kill, you can neutralize the man in the cap and take his shotgun. Do this, then climb the blue ladder and disarm the next opponent. Enter the corridor on the left and deal with another soldier. Go out into the open area and hide in the grass. Turn right, climb onto the ledge, disable the final enemy, and take the red flag at the top.
During the lie detector sequence, you can choose any answers. In this walkthrough, truth was chosen three times. Cressida will then go through the lie test. As with the previous checks, the answers do not affect anything.
When you enter the scene with the new gadget, pick up the phone on the table, then the green chemical substance in the same place. Stand on the blue circle and activate the watch lens. Select the fourth ability and shoot a dart at your partner.
During shooting, the game teaches you how to focus and slow down time around you, making it easier to hit targets. Use the new feature and break two targets.
How to Complete Nighttime Capture the Flag
The nighttime flag search segment then begins. While Cressida distracts two special forces soldiers, you and Monroe infiltrate the area. After that, go to the hole in the wall on the right and distract the enemies with bait. To do this, press V. Then neutralize the man and enter. Monroe will go deal with the door, while your task is to find the flag using the ladder on the right.
Climb up and enter a verbal standoff with the enemy. Bluff and ask the man to let you through. Then drop down from the ledge on the right and neutralize the special forces soldier. Go down the stairs and hide in the tall grass. Find cover and use the watch to activate the generator near the group of people.
Wait until everyone leaves, then climb to the second floor of the building using the left staircase. Bluff and distract the three men. Then go straight, turn right, and climb even higher. Approach the switch and activate the electricity to neutralize the enemy in the next room.
Enter the door on the left and go up the stairs. Pick up several batteries from the floor and take out each of the three guards one by one, using hand-to-hand combat if necessary. At the end, go through the blue door and take the red flag.
How to Complete the Boat Chase
After the cutscene, climb the blue ladder to the roof, then slide down the cable to the pier. Jump into the boat with Cressida and move on to the ocean segment.
Here you need to steer through the green markers while carefully taking sharp turns. Once you find Monroe, watch the final cutscene of the chapter and proceed to the nightclub.
