Rumor: Half-Life 3 Development Nears Completion

Dataminer and insider Tyler McVicker, known for his leaks related to Valve projects, recently claimed that Half-Life 3 is in the final stages of development, although the game has yet to be officially announced.

He arrived at this conclusion after examining files from a recent Dota 2 update. Within them, he discovered a connection to a mysterious project codenamed HLX, which he believes to be the new Half-Life.

The files mention enhanced physics, buoyancy, flammability, destructibility, as well as advanced NPC AI and object interaction. Therefore, if HLX is indeed Half-Life 3, according to Tyler McVicker’s findings, the project is nearing completion.

Rumors suggest that the third installment of the series will heavily focus on interactivity and vehicle simulation. Naturally, this information should be taken with a grain of salt, considering that all previous rumors about Half-Life 3 have yet to be confirmed.

It's worth noting that renowned insider Jason Schreier previously predicted an announcement for Half-Life 3 this year.
