Battlefield 5

Battlefield 5 is a first-person shooter in the popular Battlefield series. The action in the new installment unfolds during World War II. The multiplayer modes represent a "sandbox" where players can influence the course of battle with all their actions. Because of all this, the battlefield will constantly change depending on the actions of the opposing sides.

The multiplayer first-person shooter Battlefield 5 expands the possibilities of the Battlefield series with new elements, but the main gameplay concept remains unchanged — within a set time, two teams of players destroy each other until the score runs out or the objective is completed.

The Frostbite engine has been refined, allowing Battlefield 5 not only to set new graphics standards (especially for explosions and snow) but also to feature an excellent environmental destruction system. Almost all buildings on the map can be destroyed down to the foundations.

The campaign can be completed in the "War Stories" mode, consisting of several episodes. Their story tells the tales of ordinary people facing the horrors of War. These are personal tragedies and victories, with characters battling the enemy at incredible costs and sacrifices. Multiple scenarios for gameplay, ranging from stealth to action, give players a very wide range of freedom.

One of the episodes takes place in the mountains of Norway, which has fallen under fascist occupation, and tells the story of a mother and daughter who, along with the resistance movement, destroy a factory whose products are used to create a nuclear bomb. Another "War Story" unfolds in the scorching sands of North Africa.

In Battlefield 5, there are still 4 classes (assault, scout, engineer, and medic), but a completely new squad mechanic rewards players for sticking together, not separating. Bonuses are provided for joining a squad (with no penalties for leaving), supporting allies with ammo and medical supplies, and jointly taking down enemies and vehicles.

Unlike other games in the series, now all classes can revive fallen teammates, not just the medic. However, the medic revives faster, fully restores health (other classes only half), and can also heal. The game features slow and incomplete regeneration, a shortage of ammunition, so players must act together.

The main difference of Battlefield 5 from other games in the series is that the multiplayer modes are a "sandbox" where players influence the outcome of the battle with all their actions — using stationary weapons, building fortifications, and repairing buildings as defensive points. The battlefield is constantly changing, and the situation develops dynamically.

In multiplayer, there is a wide variety of modes, both classic ("Domination," "Conquest," "Frontline," "Team Deathmatch," "Capture the Flag") and new ones — for example, "Conquest" returns with 64 players. In server settings, more parameters can be set than before.

The first of the new modes is "Grand Operations", which connects different maps and modes, as well as story and cooperative gameplay. If players performed poorly today, they will receive fewer resources and equipment the next day. In Airborne, you can drop directly onto the battlefield from the air, but this is not a "battle royale", rather it is about capturing and defending control points.

The cooperative mode offers a team of 4 players missions with randomly generated objectives and tasks. This is an extremely challenging mode for coordinated teams, and each player must survive; otherwise, the difficulty will increase further. A lot of experience and gear is awarded for victory.

Battlefield 5 also features a full-fledged "battle royale" as one of the modes.

Battlefield 5 has the classic progression system for the series — for each kill, players earn experience and money, which can then be spent on unlocking new weapons, ammunition, gear, and vehicles. Players can preset the loadout for each class in advance, allowing for quick switching between them.

The installed upgrades should help find the suitable playstyle. For example, you can attach a bayonet to a rifle, or new tracks or armor to a tank. There is a system of daily missions, the completion of which will allow players to earn additional money.
