Shooters about World War II
The Second World War is the largest armed conflict in human history, the largest and the bloodiest. 62 states took part in it, and the fighting took place in Europe, Asia, Africa, as well as in the waters of all existing oceans.
World War II shooters give gamers the opportunity to take on the role of an individual soldier who carries out the orders of his superiors on the battlefield. This may include not only regular shooting, but also control of various types of equipment.
Events in shooters about the Second World War are not always reliable: often the plot of such games tells an alternative story. An excellent example is the Wolfenstein series, where Germany uses not only soldiers and conventional equipment, but also unique technologies.
