Gothic Game Series
Gothic - a well-known series of role-playing games from the German company Piranha Bytes, the first part of which was released back in 2001. It tells the story of the adventures of a nameless hero sent to the mines for some wrongdoing (players will never find out what exactly). It is after the thought of destroying the barrier that prevents escape from the mines that his story begins.
The first two parts of Gothic are considered by some fans of the genre to be among the best role-playing games of that decade, which are still relevant among gamers today. Unfortunately, the third part did not appeal to many players, and Arcanum (the fourth game) is not considered part of the main series at all.
After this series, Piranha Bytes began working on another series, somewhat similar to Gothic - Risen.
