Arcade is a genre of video games that uses simple gameplay mechanics. Often, little attention is paid to the plot and character development. Arcades are designed for easy entertainment without delving into the essence of what is happening. The main focus is on the gameplay and its simplicity. Games of various genres can be classified as arcades. For example, in arcade racing, there is no realistic physics, weapons are often used, and even more frequently, bonuses can be collected on the tracks, with controls reduced to three buttons: left, right, and acceleration. Similarly, the gameplay is simplified in other arcade genres.
