State Indicator integrates a clean, minimalist suite of procedurally-drawn HUD icons into Gothic 1 Remake, providing flawless feedback on your stealth parameters and threat levels. Rather than relying on rough script approximations, each icon directly queries the engine's native AI perception matrices, reflecting exactly what enemy entities visually, audibly, or olfactorily sense in real time.
By default, every tracker remains static white while you are completely undetected and smoothly transitions into a vibrant orange notification state the split-second an actor registers your presence. The interface layout is colourblind-friendly out of the box and features deep color customizability.
The Four Core Indicators:
- Sight: An eye asset. Remains closed while you are hidden and opens dynamically the moment any local actor maintains a direct line of sight on you.
- Sound: An ear asset. Appears bare while you move silently and radiates active soundwaves whenever your movement noise is heard.
- Smell: A nose asset. Displays inhalation line arcs whenever predatory beasts or monsters track your physical scent.
- Combat: Twin swords. Held in parallel vectors during passive exploration loops and cross immediately when a hostile target engages you in active combat.
- Every single node operates independently — feel free to toggle on only the specific indicators that match your tactical preference.
Context-Aware UI Logic:
- Interaction Continuity: Keeps rendering while you actively loot cache containers or pick lock combinations (enabled by default), granting vital warnings if someone spots you trespassing.
- Cinematic Fading: Automatically fades out during dialogue sequences, structured cutscenes, and full-screen inventory layouts to keep your interface clean.
Zero-Asset & Lightweight Framework:
- Every single icon vector is drawn procedurally at runtime — meaning zero external textures, fonts, or bulky custom .pak archives are force-baked into your game client. The tiny runtime framework consists solely of the mod's core DLL and supporting script files. It never writes directly to protected game memory blocks and remains dormant during scene loads to eliminate stability risks.
Deep In-Game Configuration:
When paired with the Shared Mod Menu utility, the mod exposes a comprehensive configuration matrix live in-game (accessible via the [F2] hotkey layout by default) with no restart requirements:
- Per-indicator structural toggles, fine-grained screen coordinates positioning, and independent scaling limits.
- Dual-state full RGB color pickers to customize both your "undetected" and "detected" profiles.
- Independent opacity sliders and custom transition animation speeds (from instant cuts to slow, gradual fades).
- Optional mapping hotkey to quickly toggle the Sight overlay on and off during raw gameplay.
- No menu? Every single property is also cleanly formatted and commented inside the local settings.ini text file.
Installation instructions:
- Ensure you have the latest UE4SS Experimental core build actively running on your client.
- Download and extract the State Indicator archive folder structure straight into your active mods pathway layout at:
...\Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\ - (Highly Recommended) Install the Shared Mod Menu modification to unlock immediate access to the calibration tabs via the in-game [F2] dashboard.
- Launch the game application.
