A once-great classic has degenerated into a buggy hack, rivaling the legendary Oblivion remaster in terms of its clunkiness and laziness. The developers apparently decided that a modern audience would be content with just cramming Unreal Engine 5 onto its old bones, completely neglecting optimization. As a result, the game consistently crashes every half hour and forces shader compilations every time it launches. Mage gameplay has devolved into a refined masochism, with endless casting of useless spells while being bludgeoned to death by every passing goblin, and the vaunted lockpicking has become a hellish discrete math puzzle where you waste 15 minutes of real time for a single master key and a piece of bread in a miner's chest. Разработчики видимо, посчитали, что современной аудитории достаточно натянуть Unreal Engine 5 на старые кости, абсолютно забив на оптимизацию, из-за чего игра стабильно вылетает каждые полчаса и заставляет компилировать шейдеры при каждом запуске.
