The lineup of smartphones from Apple, also positioned as a full-fledged gaming platform. It runs on iOS. The first iPhone was announced on January 9, 2007, after which it quickly captured a significant share of the smartphone market in the USA. Third-party applications for the iPhone can be installed using a jailbreak – a procedure for unlocking the iOS file system. Games for the iPhone can be downloaded for free and for a fee from the App Store. Thanks to the official toolkit, developers can create game mods for the iPhone and other applications.
