Games for Windows Phone
The operating system developed by Microsoft was released in October 2010. It supports a multi-touch gesture system and boasts the tile-based Metro interface. There is no backward compatibility with Windows Mobile. The new version, named Windows Phone 8, integrated personal computers, smartphones, and tablets into a single entity. It also introduced the ability to resize the tiles on the start screen. In April 2014, version 8.1 of the operating system was introduced, featuring the voice assistant Cortana (an artificial intelligence from Halo).
