Patch 1.5 Released for Post-Apocalyptic Shooter Dreadzone
Eshed Team announced the release of a major content update for their post-apocalyptic shooter Dreadzone, which has been described as a blend of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and The Forest. The patch is live now on Steam.
This fresh update more than doubles the size of the open world, adding a bunch of new locations, points of interest, and secrets to uncover. The patch also introduces three new quest givers, 15 missions, a new type of survivor (cultists!), a "Missions" tab in the Inventory, a brand new consumable (Peach Cake), new melee weapons (Sledgehammer and Club), a new tool (Chainsaw), and new buildable objects (Tower, Mortar, Worn Chair, Bucket, Bowl, and Gas Cylinder). Furthermore, it improves the readability of item and mission descriptions, melee animations, and some UI elements. The player character’s maximum stamina has been bumped up by 150%, the option to disable autosaving has been added, and a number of bugs have been squashed – and that's not all.
"We've been working hard on this update, and while we weren't able to get everything planned in, it's packed with new content and improvements. As always, we're listening to your feedback and suggestions, taking note of them, and prioritizing accordingly," the developers posted on Steam.
Dreadzone is a survival shooter set in a quarantine zone teeming with mutants and wild animals, developed using Unreal Engine 5. The game launched in Early Access on Steam in mid-July.
