Hardcore Sci-Fi Platformer Nullstar: Solus Secures Release Date
Smash Attack Studios has announced the official launch date for its latest project, the sci-fi 2D platformer Nullstar: Solus. The game is set to arrive simultaneously on Steam and consoles.
It's been a long time coming, and we thank you all for the patience in getting it over the line! We can't wait to share the full version of the game with you all, and we are also super excited to see the content that is planned for creators over on Twitch.
Nullstar: Solus is a high-speed 2D platformer set in a "dying future." Players take control of a scout drone sent into the ruins of a derelict world. The goal is to recover the remnants of an ancient power source while uncovering the mystery behind the fallen civilization. The game demands pixel-perfect precision and lightning-fast reflexes as players navigate over 100 levels, dodging security systems and battling automated guardians.
Nullstar: Solus launches April 16, 2026, on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
This follows the recent release of the hardcore 3D platformer Super Meat Boy 3D on PC and consoles. You can check out how critics rated the game and read their full impressions in our dedicated coverage.
Do you think Nullstar: Solus has what it takes to capture the community's attention, or will it fly under the radar? Share your thoughts in the comments!
