What Skills Are in the Game
Tip: It is best to start actively leveling all skills after the story quest "Uninvited Guests at the Wedding." There are many teachers in the game from whom you can learn a specific skill for a certain amount (100-500). You can also buy skill books from scribes and merchants and find them in the open world.
All the following skills in the game can be developed up to level 30:
- Alchemy.
- Crafting.
- Drunkenness.
- Horsemanship.
- Dog Handling.
- Scholarship.
- Stealth.
- Survival.
- Theft.
Alchemy
Alchemy is your ability to brew potions, and the quality of your potions and poisons depends on the level of this skill. Leveling here is relatively simple; you need to brew many potions.
A simple method available almost at the very beginning of the game is to brew the "Chamomile Decoction" (Chamomile 2, Sage 1). You can buy recipes for more complex potions from scribes and merchants. We recommend collecting ingredients in the open world, which will simultaneously develop the "Survival" skill. It's best to use the scheme: Collect/Buy Ingredients — Brew — Sell. This way, you can also earn a considerable amount of money.
Available Perks for Leveling
- Art of Storage: Food and herbs spoil 50% slower.
- Potion Merchant: Sell potions 30% more expensively.

Crafting
The skill affects the consumption of materials when maintaining equipment, as well as the speed and quality of item production. You can improve it through actions such as washing clothes, sharpening weapons, and working in the forge. The simplest items to craft are "Peasant Horseshoes" (requires 1 iron scrap) and "Working Axe" (requires 2 iron scraps). By combining these activities, you can quickly increase the skill level. Effective strategy: buying materials — crafting — sharpening — selling.

The skill affects the perception of alcohol: as it grows, alcohol will have a weaker effect, you will get drunk slower, and hangovers will become easier and pass quicker. The risk of developing an addiction is also reduced, although it cannot be completely eliminated, no matter how high your skill is. You can improve the skill by consuming various alcoholic beverages or alchemical potions based on them. The simplest way to level up is to consume 3-4 servings of alcohol during daylight.

Horse Riding
Horse riding is the art of confidently staying in the saddle, knowing maneuvers and techniques of mounted combat, as well as the ability to care for riding animals. As your skill improves, your horse will expend less stamina during fast gallops, become less skittish in the face of danger, and it will be harder for enemies to knock you out of the saddle.
The player will gain experience by covering significant distances in the saddle. Note: experience is not awarded during fast travel. In mounted combat, experience is earned for each defeated enemy while you are in the saddle.
After slightly raising your skill level in the saddle, attack small enemy camps and eliminate them one by one, prioritizing archers. Actively use the terrain and the agility of the horse.

Dog Handler
The dog will become your faithful friend, a kind companion on the road, and a fierce protector. It will be able to find all sorts of interesting things in the vicinity, and as the skill level increases, it will become more obedient, stronger in battle, and tire more slowly on the hunt. Additionally, you will be able to acquire skills that allow you to give the dog new commands.
Experience is accumulated through interacting with the dog and using its skills, whether in battle, on the hunt, or on the road. Most importantly, don't forget to feed the dog properly and pet it from time to time. This not only brings experience but also ensures that the dog will not run away in battle and will correctly follow your commands.
The quickest way to level up the skill is to clear enemy camps with your dog. For this, you need to be proficient in combat skills. Also, regularly use commands for skill development: "Search!", "Speak!", and "Walk!".

Survival experience is mainly accumulated through hunting game, gathering herbs, and processing the catch, such as drying, smoking, or cooking. Thievery is the art of stealthy infiltration and deft appropriation of others' belongings. During pickpocketing, your victim is less likely to notice your hand, making the whole process easier. You'll also be able to pre-identify certain items in a purse or pocket.
Skill experience accumulates through lockpicking and pickpocketing. The more complex the lock you pick and the more valuable the stolen items, the more experience you gain. To quickly develop the skill, stock up on plenty of lockpicks and potions like "Saviour Schnapps" and "Night Owl". Find black clothing, such as a monk's robe, and wear nothing else to make as little noise as possible and remain unnoticed.
Commit thefts and break-ins at night when everyone is asleep. Operate in small settlements, saving before each action. In extreme cases, if discovered, flee from the guards, discarding stolen items on the run.
It makes sense to level thievery first, as it can significantly speed up the development of the "Alchemy", "Crafting", "Scholarship", and "Survival" skills. You'll be able to steal materials and produce items from them, which can subsequently be sold, as they will not be marked as "Stolen".
Rob people in one settlement and create items in another. If you manage to avoid detection, you can return and sell the created items. As for stolen books and recipes, you have the right to read them and discard them.
