Dispatch is a unique puzzle game in the interactive movie genre. Robert Robertson lost his combat Mechaman and became a dispatcher for a superhero special service. The player has to assign characters to requests to save Torrents from villainous threats. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find save files on PC and for the PS5 console.

How Saving Works in Dispatch

The entire gameplay is recorded into a save slot, which you can delete or insert into another slot. There are four slots for saving progress. Thanks to the saving system, you can replay episodes and make different choices.

Here’s how it works. Suppose you started the fourth episode, "Reform," and want to change your decision about a dismissed character from the previous chapter, "Turnover." Go to the save menu, copy your current slot, and paste it into another slot. Now open the third act and select the window with the episode you want to replay, then continue playing in this save.

This way, you can play out multiple options without replaying the entire game. In the following sections, we’ll explain in detail where saves are stored on PC and PS5. Since the game has become quite popular, the developers will likely port it to other platforms, and when that happens, we’ll update this guide.

Where Saves are Located on PC

To open the saves folder, follow these steps.

  1. Open the main “My Computer” directory.
  2. Go to the “Users” folder and select your profile.
  3. Enter the AppData folder, then Local.
  4. Find the Dispatch game folder.
  5. Then go to Saved and SaveGames.

Your path should look like this: C:\Users\PC\AppData\Local\Dispatch\Saved\SaveGames

Inside, you’ll see files like SaveSlot0.sav, where the last digit before the dot indicates the save slot.

If you have difficulties, download from our website an archive with saves. This way, you can avoid wasting time and replay all possible options. To use them, open the folder and move all files with replacement.

How to Open the AppData Folder

By default, the AppData folder in the Users directory is hidden. Therefore, you need to use the operating system’s built-in function to show "Hidden Items." Below is a detailed guide on how to view hidden folders for Windows 11.

  1. Open the “Users” folder.
  2. In the top context menu, select the “View” window.
  3. At the very bottom, click “Show.”
  4. Select the “Hidden Items” option.
  5. This way, you can configure the display or hiding of files and folders marked as hidden.

Where Saves are Located on PS5

To access the management of Dispatch save data on PS5, follow these steps.

  1. From the home screen, go to the top right corner and select the "Settings" icon (gear).
  2. In the settings menu, scroll down and select "Saved Data and Game/App Settings."
  3. Next, choose the "Saved Data" option.
  4. Select "Sync with Cloud Storage." Then, in the list, find the game to check if a backup of your progress has been uploaded to the cloud (PS Plus subscription required). Alternatively, select "Manage Saved Data on Console Storage." Here you can delete save files associated with the game.
  5. After selecting "Delete," you will see a list of games.
  6. Find and select Dispatch.
  7. Confirm deletion by checking the appropriate box and pressing "Delete."

The final path will look like this:

  • Settings\Saved Data and Game/App Settings\Saved Data (PS5)\Manage Saved Data on Console Storage\Dispatch

It should be understood that the console publisher protects its interests and the developers’ products. Therefore, any attempt to "replace" save files may be considered interference with the intellectual property of the rights holder. Accordingly, this may result in a warning, and in some cases, even a ban on the account or the device itself.

For this reason, we strongly advise against trying to replace save files in any way. Use the above instructions only to delete saves and start the game over.
