This mod is designed to improve overall game stability and visual performance through precise configuration tuning. It optimizes graphics settings, FPS, and overall smoothness to achieve a balanced ratio between visual quality and VRAM usage. By fine-tuning the config.ini file, the engine operates more consistently across different hardware configurations.

Installation:

  • Navigate to the game’s root folder and locate the original config.ini file (example path: steamapps\common\RESIDENT EVIL requiem);
  • Create a backup copy to allow reverting changes if needed;
  • Download the optimized config.ini and open it with a text editor;
  • Find the GPU line in the file and replace the listed graphics card name with the one from your original config file;
  • Save the changes and close the editor (ensure the game is closed before saving);
  • Right-click the edited config.ini file, open Properties, and enable the “Read-only” attribute to prevent the game from overwriting optimized settings;
  • If you need to adjust resolution or switch upscalers (DLSS, FSR, FG), temporarily disable “Read-only,” apply changes, save the file, and enable protection again;
  • Launch the game (windowed or borderless mode recommended) and test performance in demanding scenes with heavy vegetation or visual effects.
