After Taigedo’s successful date, the heroes in NTE: Neverness to Everness face a new serious challenge. This time, they need to find and secure a special anomaly at an auction—rumored to be able to predict the future. In this guide, we’ll cover how to complete the quest and defeat Arachna, the final boss of the chapter.
How to Complete the Deal? Deal! Quest
The Deal? Deal! quest unlocks when you reach Hunter Level 14. To start, go down to the first floor of the Avon antique shop and talk to Adler. At that moment, a mysterious man will enter the building and ask the main character for a favor. Agree, go outside, and follow the yellow markers to the Sterry Express shop.
Approach Jensen, wait for the owner of Avon to come inside, and talk with everyone present. After that, you’ll be asked to speak with each person individually. Talk to all the characters one by one, then wait a few seconds until Michael Pay enters the garage. Watch the cutscene with the special invitation being replicated, and then return to the antique shop.
Talk to Hathor and fast forward the time to 3:30 PM the next day using the phone. Then go back to Sterry Express, talk to Jiu Yuan, and get in the car with her. Drive out onto the main road and follow the yellow markers. They’ll lead you to a big stadium on a hill. Go up and approach the group of fans on the stairs. After the photo session ends, you’ll need to meet the musician at the side entrance below.
Head down and watch the cutscene, after which a chase will begin. During the chase, you need to catch up to the artist’s car on a motorcycle and sync the invitation. The progress bar will be displayed at the top of the screen. Keep following the car until the bar reaches 100%, then return to Sterry Express and talk to Jensen. Once you’re done, go back to Avon, share the good news with Hathor on the second floor, and fast forward the time to 6:00 PM the next day.
When the time comes, head to the Cape Grand Hotel using any available transport. Go to the main entrance, meet up with the team, and enter the building. Follow your team to the elevator on the second floor and ride up to the auction hall. Listen to Jensen’s story, after which the team will split up. Now you need to find three characters: Illica, Haniel, and Hathor.
Haniel is by the left wall, across from the large stele in the center of the hall. She looks like a short-haired waitress with black hair. Illica is near the bar, disguised as a waiter with styled black hair. To find Hathor, walk along the right wall and talk to the black-haired waitress in the corner.
After meeting all the assistants, return to the main group by the stele and wait for the auction to begin. The bidding for the Narcissus Necklace will start. Hathor will make an offer, but is immediately interrupted by an arrogant man on the other side of the hall. His behavior will anger the owner of Avon, and a verbal duel will break out between them.
During this scene, you’ll have three actions: Verbal Clash, Raise, and Escape. All options except the last one deal damage to your opponent. The mechanic is similar to turn-based Japanese RPGs. After a few turns, you’ll unlock the Excitement ability, which lets you instantly knock out your rival.
After the duel, go to Haniel by the bar and follow her to the staff room. Then find Illica by the same bar and listen to his lines. Return to the main group and talk to Jiu Yuan, which will start the second stage of the auction. The verbal duel scene repeats. For a quick win, you can immediately choose Escape to get to the Excitement phase faster.
At the end of the auction, the last item—the one your team needs—will appear. After stealing the item, head to the elevator and teleport back to the hall. Talk to Jiu Yuan, go to the stele in the center, and call the elevator to the collection room. You’ll find out you need a keycard, which you can get from the staff member near the auction table.
Upstairs, you’ll encounter the anomaly Lockpick. This is a short fight, so deal with the enemy quickly and continue the quest. After the conversation, follow the Nantani anomaly through the complex. Along the way, defeat a few Oddities and enter the water dimension.
Go down the stairs on the left, activate three water orbs, and use Stream of Consciousness. Move along the red path and activate two more orbs. After you’re transported, you’ll be attacked by three Dreamspawn. Defeat them, activate the third orb, and go down to the platform ahead. Enter the door on the left, fail the challenge, and repeat the process of collecting water fragments on the next platform.
Continue along the red path, hit the orb, and rise up using Stream of Consciousness. On the new platform, defeat three monsters, destroy five water orbs, and repeat the movement process again. Next, go through the long corridor, dodge the anomaly’s attacks, and destroy the final orb. After this, talk to your team, follow Nantani, and enter the elevator.
Go up to the sixth floor, walk down the hallway, and face a new anomaly. In this segment, you need to run from the darkness and avoid obstacles. When you reach the end, turn on the lamp and talk to your team. Then follow Nantani into the elevator again and ride up to the twentieth floor. Watch the cutscene where a level five anomaly appears, and the fight with Arachna begins.
How to Defeat the Arachna Boss
In the first stage, you need to defeat five of the boss’s minions—dancing spirits—who attack with energy waves across the arena. After that, Arachna herself enters the fight. At first, she uses spiked projectiles and close-range claw attacks. Then the boss drops her veil and starts creating lotuses on the arena that send out red waves. You can easily dodge these by dashing.
Arachna can also create portals linked by red lasers that deal damage. Watch for warnings and move to the safe spots in the arena.
In the second phase, the battlefield is plunged into darkness, and lit zones appear on the floor. You can move freely inside them, while the darkness will slow you down. Arachna will gradually move toward you, and you need to counter her attacks when a yellow circle appears near the boss. After a few successful counters, Arachna will fall and the complex’s defenses will be disabled.
After your victory, a series of cutscenes will show the aftermath of the mission and set the stage for the next part of the story.
