This mod reworks lockpicking in Gothic 1 Remake by making the lockpicking skill significantly more meaningful. As the skill level increases, lock combinations become easier by reducing the number of required lock connections, while still preserving the core lockpicking mechanic.
Features:
- Reduces lock difficulty based on lockpicking skill level;
- Removes part of the lock combination for skilled characters;
- Keeps manual lockpicking gameplay intact;
- Does not automatically solve locks;
- Avoids creating impossible lock combinations;
- Fully configurable through settings;
- Makes each lockpicking skill tier more valuable;
- By default, every trained skill tier is roughly twice as effective as in the vanilla game;
- Preserves the original feel and immersion of the lockpicking system;
- Ideal for players who enjoy lockpicking but want character progression to have a stronger impact.
Configuration:
- All values can be customized manually;
- Default settings are designed to provide a balanced experience;
- Difficulty can be reduced further if desired.
Installation:
- Download the archive;
- Extract the contents to: \G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods.
