Ask NPCs to upgrade objects for you. They will update objects (all available upgrades), but this will cost you and earn them money (unless they are butlers)
You will find this option in the Upgrades section if the NPC is available. Make sure they can access the object (unlocked doors, invited, etc.), otherwise you won't pay anything!
Wait for them to finish one object before asking them to upgrade another!
There seems to be an issue with the original upgrade interactions when they do not complete the interaction (it takes forever). This is a game issue, not a mod issue.
