Your Health and Mana slowly refill over time — no potions, no resting required. The mod is built to feel natural: regeneration automatically pauses in every situation where it shouldn't happen, and everything is configurable in a simple text file.

Features:

  • Passive HP & Mana regen: a small percentage of your maximum is restored every second.
  • Stops when it should: no regeneration while you are:
    dead or knocked out (K.O. on the ground);
    in combat (with a short cooldown after the fight);
    being targeted by an enemy / have aggro — even if your weapon is sheathed or you're running away;
    in the pause menu (ESC);
    in a cutscene or a dialogue.
  • Separate control for HP and Mana: enable each one on its own, set independent regen speeds, and decide per resource whether it should also work in combat.
  • No more stuck spells: if your mana hits 0, the game normally keeps blocking casting even after it refills; this clears that automatically so you can cast again.
  • Optional requirements: only regenerate HP above a minimum Strength, and/or Mana above a minimum magic capacity (Max Mana). Set to 0 to disable the requirement.
  • Correct HUD: the on-screen bars and numbers update properly.
  • Safe & lightweight: pure gameplay logic, no asset replacement, won't crash your game.

Installation instructions:

  1. Install UE4SS first (latest experimental release).
  2. Extract the archive into your Gothic 1 Remake game folder (the one that contains G1R):
    ...\steamapps\common\Gothic 1 Remake\
  3. The files will end up at:
    ...\Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\PassiveRegen.
  4. That's it — the mod is enabled by default (it ships with an enabled.txt).
  5. Alternatively, you can manage it in ue4ss\Mods\mods.txt with the line PassiveRegen : 1.
  6. Start the game.
  7. In-game hotkey: F8 toggles the mod on/off (rebindable via ToggleKey in the INI file, in case another mod uses the same key).
