Games for Wii
The fifth home gaming platform from Nintendo, belonging to the 7th generation of gaming systems. As of January 29, 2013, Wii sales reached 99.38 million units worldwide. It features innovative wireless controllers, the Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus, which respond to player movements. The Wii is compatible with all GameCube games, and the Virtual Console service allows users to play games purchased online for NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, and TurboGrafx-16. The best games for the Wii were released by Nintendo itself. A definitive hit for the Wii was Wii Sports, which is sold bundled with the console. The successor to the console is the Wii U.
