Have you ever wanted to tame a fox, wolf, skiver, bear or netch? Then you are at the right place. They are marked as essential so they cannot be accidentally killed. They will fight to the death (or not, because they can't die) to save you. Except for the fox and the skiver, they will run away if they lose. You can find them all in the Elderglim Shrine.
