The first gaming platform from Sony, belonging to the 5th generation of gaming systems. Five years later, an updated version called PSone was released, which was significantly smaller in size. Thanks to a large number of quality games for PlayStation, as of July 2008, over 102.49 million consoles have been sold worldwide. The console made Sony one of the major players in the market. The best of the best games for PlayStation was Gran Turismo. The successor to the console was PlayStation 2.
