In the world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, gamers will have to carry out a dangerous sabotage against King Sigismund in the final mission from the Fellowship. We will detail how to prepare for the operation and how the fate of the fellowship can be decided.
This quest becomes available after completing the The Thieves' Code mission. While traveling through the Kuttenberg region using fast travel, you may encounter an event called "Messenger."
This is a messenger from the fellowship. The guy will say that Master Chenek urgently requires your presence in the "Hole." From this moment, the quest will begin.
Head to the "Hole" tavern located in the outer city of Kutna Hora and find Chenek there. Ask him why he was looking for you.
The thief will tell you that he has devised a way to deprive Sigismund of the silver flow. For this, you will need to obtain gunpowder and blow up the mine.
Stultz, seeing you at the exit of the tavern, will call you over. He will say that Chenek is a bad leader for the Fellowship and therefore needs to be overthrown.
You can agree and kill Chenek, but in this case, you will receive a smaller reward. And Stultz will replace him as the leader.
If you decide to kill the head of the fellowship, we advise doing it at night. There is also an option to honestly tell him that you came to kill him, in which case you will engage in a fight with him. There is also an option to tell Chenek that Stultz wants to kill him.
If you decide to betray Stultz, he will be banished from the city. You can still agree to the murder and eventually not do it, and then everything will remain as it was. If Chenek dies, the quest will continue its course.
Gunsmith Prokop Eldris and his shop are located south of the "Hole." Tell the merchant that you are looking for gunpowder. The master will ask why you need it, and here you will need to successfully pass a persuasion check.
As a result, the gunsmith will explain that he cannot provide such a volume of material right now and will suggest an option to get some gunpowder from a competitor named Usik.
Head to the village of Bogunovice and move north along the main road until you encounter a stuck cart and people trying to pull it out.
Approach Usik and ask what happened. Then start a conversation about gunpowder. You can pass a persuasion check to get the gunpowder or simply buy the barrel.
If the dialogue fails, you can kill everyone and take the gunpowder or steal it from the chest.
Head to the village of Grunta. Make sure to have two torches with you. Then, move south along the main road towards the mines.
On the left side, you will find a camp of people from the Fellowship.
Tell Goliath that you have the gunpowder. Then, you will learn that according to the plan, the fighters will distract the guards and miners at night, and you will need to plant the charge and detonate it. You can wait for the night with them.
Follow Goliath to the mine.
Enter inside and move straight to the water bucket, then turn right.
At the fork, turn left, go straight, and at the first intersection, turn right.
Continue forward until you encounter a ladder. Go down it.
Once at the bottom, you will see a red cloth hanging on a pole to the left — this is where you need to plant the charge.
After this, take a spare torch in your hands or drink the "Owl" potion and quickly return back. Once in the camp, you will encounter the captain of the guards and his men.
There are three options for actions:
Return to the head of the fellowship. Tell him that you successfully completed the mission. If you remained loyal to Chenek and betrayed Stultz to him, he will thank you and share his plans for the future of the fellowship. As a reward, you will receive a small amount of groschen. The quest will end here.
You successfully passed a difficult persuasion check after blowing up the adit. The fellowship people will scatter. You will receive a small reward from the guard captain, and the quest will be completed.
You can steal the gunpowder barrel right after the quest starts by going to Bogunovice and taking it from Usik's chest, even though you won't be able to have a dialogue with him.
