How to Start the "Mice" Quest

Visit the innkeeper Procek in Tachov and ask if he needs help. He will tell you about the antics of the residents of Zheleevo and propose a cunning plan for revenge: Old Olbram, the owner of the largest plot in Zheleevo, has a magnificent bull. Procek suggests painting it. But before you start, you need to get paint and a potion to temporarily put the bull to sleep.

Ask Blacksmith Radovan for Help

You have several ways to get the "Lullaby Potion" recipe from Radovan: successfully pass a skill check or buy it. If you don't have extra funds, you can safely skip this step, as in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, recipes remain unchanged even if you haven't studied them.

Find Something to Calm the Bull (0/3)

To prepare three units of the lullaby potion at once, you'll need to brew the concoction perfectly. Otherwise, you'll get one unit of weak potion or two units of medium decoction.

Head to any alchemy table, bringing the following ingredients with you:

  • Poppy (1).
  • Thistle Leaves (1).
  • Crow's Eye (1).

Almost all plants can be purchased from apothecaries or found in the open world. For example, thistle and poppy can be collected a few meters from Radovan's forge.

When you are ready, go to the alchemy table and use this recipe:

  1. Pour the oil base into the pot.
  2. Add 1 pinch of poppy.
  3. Boil for 1 turn of the hourglass (use the bellows once).
  4. Add 1 pinch of thistle leaves.
  5. Boil for 1 turn (use the bellows once).
  6. Grind 1 handful of crow's eye in the mortar, then add to the cauldron.
  7. Pour the decoction into a vial.

If you end up with a weak or regular potion, you'll need to repeat the steps, as you need three vials of sleeping potion to complete the quest.

Get the Paint

The tailor from Troskovice can help with the paint. The base price for this item is 60 groschen, but if you can pass a persuasion check, ask Bartoshek a question. He will start a long story, but do not interrupt him. When he finishes his monologue, he will give you a vial of paint for free.

Pour the Sleeping Potion into the Bull's Trough

Wait until morning and head to Zheleevo. In one of the barns, there will be a bull. You should wait a few more hours until the herdsman leads the cattle to the pasture. This usually happens between 9-11 AM.

When the barn is empty, go inside and pour the lullaby potion into the trough, then leave the scene of the crime and wait until evening. The herdsman returns the cattle around 9-10 PM.

Try not to linger too long, as being on the farm premises is prohibited from midnight. Pass by the two servants and paint the bull. You can choose to:

  1. (Draw a saddle on the bull).
  2. (Draw Olbram covered in dung).
  3. (Draw Sigismund and a couple of reproductive organs).

Return to Procek and tell him how it went. As a reward, he will give you only 85 groschen. If you had spent 100 groschen on the potion recipe and 60 groschen on the paint, you would be at a significant loss. However, the story doesn't end there.

Battle of the Frogs and Mice

The quest will start automatically during a conversation with the innkeeper if you decide to take part in the mass brawl at the pasture. We recommend leveling up your fistfighting skill in advance, as there will be plenty of opponents. Of course, you can try to use a skill check to reduce the number of enemies, but the fight will still be uneven.

How to Convince Olbram's People to Retreat

When the crowd starts the skirmish, say "Why don't you just make peace?", then "This is Olbram's fight, not yours" (persuasion check). If you succeed, a few people from the Zheleevo gang will leave.

Beat Up the Zheleevo Gang

Use the skills you've acquired in the game to deal with the Zheleevo gang, focusing on Old Olbram first. We can't provide any specific combat tips. For winning the battle, you will receive 90 groschen.
