Miri Fajta is an optional quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but it has a rather interesting storyline and several endings. In this guide, we will describe a detailed walkthrough of the quest and tell you what rewards you can receive.
We recommend starting the quest with an average skill level of 15, as the quest is quite challenging. It is also recommended to complete the storyline quest "Wedding Crashers" beforehand. To complete it, you will need developed skills: "Speech", "Horsemanship", "Fistfight", and the ability to play dice. It is worth noting that the reward will not be very substantial; this quest is more about an interesting story.
You need to talk to the Baron in the location "Gypsy Camp". The man will tell you that his daughter Marika is missing. Agree to help to activate the quest.
Go behind the cart where the herbalist Aranka is sitting, and next to the chest, find the handkerchief of her daughter Marika.
Then head to the herbalist Bajena. You will learn that Marika came to her for help, and she was accompanied by her injured lover Bogush. They told her they were heading to a cave in the "Apolena" location. Bajena will tell you how to get there.
From the fast travel point at Troxi Castle, turn right and head towards Apolena. Follow through the herb garden to the place marked on the map as "Ruins in the Rocks". There you will see the stone previously described by Bajena, stuck between two rocks — it's a sign that you are almost there. If you follow our advice, you are unlikely to encounter enemies. Once you reach the place, ask your dog to sniff Marika's handkerchief.
Go under the stone and follow the path. On the right side, you will see crevices in the rock and traces of blood.
Go into the crevice, then turn into the next indentation, climb onto the ledge, and after going a little further, enter the cave. There you will find Marika and the injured Bogush.
Marika will tell you what happened and ask for help in treating her companion. If you have a high "Survival" skill and have "Calendula Decoction," you can help on the spot. Otherwise, you will need to obtain it yourself or go to the camp and ask Aranka for the necessary medicines:
After providing medical assistance, Marika will ask you to negotiate with the Baron to bring his amulet, which can heal her lover, to her in the cave.
When you tell the baron what his daughter wants from him, he will naturally refuse. He will then tell you that one of his sons was killed and the other was captured: the corpse needs to be buried, and the living son rescued from the village of Semin.
In the "Semin Village" location, you need to find the local saddler. Find the guard near the barn, and you will have a choice: convince him to release the hostage or pay him a ransom. If you manage to negotiate with the guard, you can take the keys to the barn, which are lying opposite the door. If you fail to negotiate with the guard, try sneaking past and stealing the keys. There is also an option to pick the lock on the door or go around the barn and enter through an open window.
Once inside the barn, free Tibor, then follow him.
After freeing Tibor, he will ask you to find his brother Geza's body and take it to his favorite place for burial.
Geza's body is tied to a tree west of the woodcutters' house. You can steal the dead guy or talk to the woodcutters' foreman and pay, or pass a "Persuasion" skill check.
Remove Geza's body from the tree, carry it on your back, and take it to the designated place. Then lay the body in the grave, after which Tibor will go for the rest of the family members.
After the burial, you will find yourself in the camp, where the Baron will ask you to obtain the protection letter from Marika. Head back to Marika. At the cave, you will need to fend off three wolves. Once the threat is eliminated, enter inside.
Marika will then tell you where to find the letter in exchange for a promise that the Baron will bring her the amulet. Exit the cave, turn right, and look for the "Water Source." Face the source (2) and see a thin tree (1) on the right; the letter is in it.
Now return to the camp, however, the baron will refuse to exchange the letter for the amulet.
Important: from this moment until the end of the quest, do not give him the letter and do not steal the amulet. Because these actions will lead to the completion of the quest.
Go to Aranka or Tibor. The characters will tell you that you need to propose a bet with the baron. Offer the Baron to bet on the amulet, offering the letter as a prize. He will agree, after which the most difficult part of the quest will begin.
You will need to win 3 competitions:
This is probably the most difficult stage. The fact is that Tibor's horse has very high characteristics. And even if your "Riding" skill is maxed out, defeating Tibor in a fair race on the first try is unlikely. Therefore, ask Aranka for help. She will give you a potion that you can use to feed the opponent's horse before the race. Just pour it into the trough next to the horse. But be warned, even so, winning is not easy.
If you are good at hand-to-hand combat, the fight with Tibor will not be particularly difficult. However, keep in mind that the character is extremely agile in combat, often dodges, and blocks hits well. If you are not confident in your agility, then before agreeing to fight, talk to Aranka, she will give you a potion that you can mix into the opponent's wine. You will find the wine barrel next to the herbalist.
In the final part of the competition, you need to win against the baron in dice. The game is relatively simple, you need to score only 1500 points. The opponent will have regular dice. The baron tries to collect combinations of 1, so he will often fail. Just save before the game. If you are not good at dice, take a die from Aranka, which can help you win.
This quest has 4 possible endings.
Depending on the ending, you may receive some money, get your own bed in the camp, and Tibor will have an option for free skill training. As we noted earlier, you will not receive particularly valuable rewards, but you will learn an interesting story. Besides, the quest will be interesting for players who want to complete the game 100%.
