You can start this quest after completing the Miri Fajta quest. In the gypsy camp in Trosky, ask Aranka about work. The herbalist will say that things are bad because the baron is cursed, and a powerful amulet is needed for protection against evil forces. Agree to forge a saber for the head of the gypsies, thus activating the quest.

Return to the woman in the camp. You can lie that the forging failed and keep the saber for yourself — this will end the quest.
